WELCOME TO MY PRACTICE AND WEBSITE
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Hartsdale, NY. (My office is across from the Metro North station.) I work with families, couples, individuals and adolescents. I also work with younger children as part of family treatment or individually as needed, and my office space features a fully stocked separate playroom. My areas of special focus include relationships, family and life transitions, parenting, adoption, depression and anxiety (including anxiety in children), adolescent development, grief/loss, and complex families. I offer groups and workshops on parenting, stress management, and other topics, as well as skill-building and support groups for children and teenagers.
A STRENGTHS-BASED APPROACH
I help my clients access their strengths, gain insight, and build skills and confidence that can lead to stronger relationships and more fulfillment in their lives outside of therapy. I look at all individuals within the framework of their relationships, and I work to strengthen positive connections and understand more about all of their relationships past and present in order to promote healing and help sort through whatever difficulties they may be facing currently. I also believe that individual and family issues cannot be separated from the social, cultural, and political context in which they exist, and I work with clients to deepen an understanding of those factors and how they play out in their own families and daily lives.
Married for 25 years and the parent of two teenagers and one young adult, I bring years of personal and professional experience to my work.
